This book presents the various areas of radiation physics including, its historical developments. The first chapter provides basic information on x-rays and radioactivity. This is followed by their diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Recent developments involving non-ionising ultraviolet, visible and infrared radiations, and the use of lasers are covered in the following chapters. The last part explains the use of ultrasound and magnetic fields.

Atmospheric Radiation Measurement - The Department of Energy's Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program uses state-of-the-art active and passive remote sensing instrumentation to study the fundamental physics related to interactions between clouds and radiative feedback processes in the atmosphere.
